Jill + Rodney // Married! // Merridale Cider, Cobble Hill, BC

Jill and Rodney's beautiful September wedding day began with a first look at Marifield manor in Shawnigan Lake. An incredible heritage home chalk full with exquisite antiques and thoughtful decor! Their first look was emotional and so sweet with friends peeping over railings and through windows quietly cheering them on!

After a quick photo session at the Manor we headed over to Merridale Cider in Cobble Hill to take a few more photos and get ready for their ceremony. With so much anticipation for the ceremony nerves where starting to show, nothing a few jokes and laughs couldn't help. Jill + Rodney embraced and laughed and "power snuggled" as they got ready for the big event. The orchards provided the perfect backdrop for some portraits and some privacy from the guests who were arriving and taking in the sites of the Merridale!

A thoughtful ceremony led by officiant Barbara Densmore painted a beautiful picture of Jill + Rodney's history going back to their days as Candy Stripers for the hospital, and later employees and Staples...to the present as they adventure to Europe to support Rodney's educational endeavours. Guests applauded and threw confetti as Jill + Rodney happily walked down the isle! They did it!! Cider reception followed with small bites as family and friends mingled while the sun went down. A lovely reception concluded the evening where dinner was served family style and guests dined on delicious local ingredients and enjoyed the cookie bar and fresh home made apple crisp! Jill + Rodney were roasted and toasted by their loved ones and together danced the night away!
