Sarah + Nick // Married // Backyard, Brentwood Bay

Sarah + Nick's wedding day was UN-believeable! This sweet couple met and started dating in highschool, after 10 years together Nick asked Sarah to marry him. And of course, she said yes! I loved seeing the photos of them from their high school grad on display throughout the evening. So sweet! Sarah had her grandmothers wedding dress on display as the girls were getting ready. The boys revved up the dirt bike and gave us a smoke show. They wrote each other a love notes to read just before they met for their first look. Emma McCormick creative and her team did a marvellous job of transforming Nick's childhood forested backyard into an beautiful grove fit for a memorable night that friends and family are sure to talk about for years to come.  Amazing bar built by Nick and his dad, the floral crown station, the hand painted banners in the tree tops, the dance floor under the stars, the open air tent complete with living room set ups, piles of tight knit friends and two families that were so well intertwined it was hard to imagine that they were ever anything but. Emotions were high, laughs echoed through the forest, and tears rolled freely. It was the best "de constructed" wedding reception I have ever attended. Guests casually found their way over to the tent when the taco bar opened up. With no formal seating plan guests were encouraged to "eat when they want, and sit where they want". A variety of table seating was available as well, layers of rugs + pillows on the ground and sweet living room arrangements it was so gorgeous and SO comfortable. Speeches filled with years of history and so many memories had everyone cracked up. Sarah + Nick danced to a beautiful cover of Chris Stapleton's 'Parachute' sung by Geoffery Lundstrom and there wasn't a dry eye around.

To top off an incredible day, Sarah + Nick's dog Phil...crashed the party around 10pm. After escaping from a neighbour who was taking care of him he showed up just in time to party!

The list of talent that came together to make their wedding day dreams come true is stacked with some of the best local creatives, check out their details below.

Get the popcorn, get the tissues and a Lucky (or two)...and get comfy...there were too many memorable moments from this day and I didn't hold back!
